So Im Getting Over You

Im getting over you though, and the other night helped alot
I guess all the fake feelings you had for me, you just forgot
They always say what doesnt kill you, only makes you stronger
So im getting over you cause i cant take the hurt any longer

You are nothing to me, at least not anymore
You was everything but that was way before
Way before the hurt and pain you caused for 3 years
You left me all alone to face all my biggest fears

I thought we would be together for the rest of my life
I thought we would grow old together and even be your wife
But that didnt happen and now im stuck all by myself
Because you didnt care about anyone but your damn self

You never thought about me before you did what you please
Now your begging for me back while getting on your knees
Telling me you will do anything and that you still love me
But i dont love you anymore and thats why you are now free

I will never go back to get treated like shit
You won, so congrats, i finally fucking quit
I cant put up with your shit anymore, and im done acting like i could
So now you can go out, have your fun, and actually find a girl who would

I could never count on you to be there for me
You was alwyas doing something else and to busy
Look where that got you, now your all alone
My feelings for you have yet to be shown

I fucking hate you and i hope you drown in all your tears
Like I have done for the last three fucking years
You have hurt me,treated me like shit,and i still took you back
But i wont do that anymore and now love is what you lack

    I think you put too much emphasis on having to rhyme the piece and it diluted the emotion, but its still there, thanks for entering

    Thank you. I really loved it. The judging wasn't even that hard. My sister came in second place. And her poem was really good it wasn't about favoritism. As soon as I read yours, I just moved it all the way to the top and just kept it there and didn't have any second thoughts. Congrats!

    Damn. I love it, hell I hope you win the contest and I am in the same contest.
    I love the emotions behind all of this and how you express them. I can feel the hatred and the pain as I read.
    It sorta reminds me of my ex, in a way. There are a lot of similarities.
