Don't Worry, This Looks Legit

trying to run away
isn't as easy as it looks on TV or in the movies
in realily strangers lurk
        around every corner
with rickety old vans
and tales of lost puppies
and candy galore.

its not safe...
its not even fun...
because the real world is hot
and humid
and there are stray dogs that snap and snarl.

there's only one thing
that I've learned about running way...
