Reality's Sunrise

I'm bathing in the light,
of the sun of reality.
I get tanned by the rays,
that reflect my mortality.
There were many times
I'd bask in glorry to be burned.
Though it was so painful,
it's another lesson learned.

Soaring past my limits,
I will fly above the sky.
Taking in another breath
I see the reason why.
The life we live could be so great
if we'd just understand.
There is more than tragedy
just find your helping hand.

Conflicts will present themselves
and one has to decide.
To soak up rays of happiness
or to be burned by their pride.
People spend their whole life
trying to find retribution.
Leave the cares of past behind
and start a revolution.

Demons do not hold me down
I'm no victim of fate.
I won't take their guilt trips
and I won't carry their weight.
I have motivation
and a spark within my eyes.
I stand in darkness
to watch my reality's sunrise.
