"B"

You came and repaired the broken parts
Leaving a path behind as you went
You said I was the most beautiful girl
And I pondered where your time's been spent

You filled that hole that he left behind
And erased him from my thought
You hold me when I cry, smile when I laugh
Doing all those little things he could not

You love my good, and accept my bad
Smiling, you say "baby, it's okay"
Still the day grows late, we say goodbye
And I wish that just once you could stay

I'd give anything for our time to drag on
To wake up from a dream, next to you
I hate to let guys see me in the morning
But there isn't much I would hide from you

So you've seen the real me, inside and out
And for once in my life, that's alright
Because you seem to love me, just how I am
And if you could, I know you'd stay the night

Author notes

It's about my current boyfriend, Bryant.
He's incredible, which this poem is not.

Buuuut it's been a long time since I've written, and I'm trying to get back together with my creative self.

so, what do you think?
