1. Never regret something you once meant with all your heart; there's a reason you meant it.
... There is always something inside your heart, that makes you do something. It may not be logical then, even less so in the future, but somehow you know it was right. This is illustrating this and to believe in your own judgement.
2. The hardest part of being unique is that everyone else is doing the same.
... This is illustrating that by being unique, you're not being unique at all as you're doing what everyone else is doing. More of a quirky one, really.
3. Some people smile, because their happy.
Some people smile, to hide the tears.
Some people smile, to show confusion
and others to hide their fears.
But when you smile, smile for a reason.
Make the reason whole and true.
Remember, a smile shows your soul,
it shows the world all of you.
... a smile is what shows into your soul, so make it meaningful and true.
4. There's something about waking up with a sinking feeling and getting up anyway. By doing that alone you've already tackled the hardest part of the day; choosing to live it, no matter what may come.
... by deciding to wake up and get on with life, though it has been bothering you as of late, or the day just feels horrible, by getting up and taking part you are beating your own anxieties and therefore, you have done the hardest part of the day already.
5. I do not fear people, I fear their actions. It is not people, but what they do, that frightens us.
... I think this is very true. For it is not someone that you fear, it's how they behave. A person alone can't stab you, but intentions and ill natured upbringings can.
6. [Continuation somewhat of quote 5] For it is not the sniper whom kills the masses, but the rifle in his hand; it is not the hand of Hitler alone whom slaughtered many, he has only one set alone.
... Quite self explantary, I thought. But maybe not. Ask if you're not sure.
7. The cliche ideal that men shouldn't cry as they are showing weakness is outdated and untrue. A braver man will show how he feels and put up with all around him who call him weak, that he who bottles up his burdens and drives himself into an early mental grave.
along with number seven also...
8. I say to the one I love, that he may cry on my shoulder. He fears he is showing me weakness and maybe he is. But isn't that love is, one big whirl of weakness? Isn't it but our choice who we show our insecurities with?
... These two are about how its rubbish that men are supposed to be butch and not show emotions. Blah, to that.
9. Just because you cannot see the rainbow, it doesn't mean it isn't there. It so happens the sky is not quite ready, to show its hues of delight.
... This is about being optimistic. Sometimes things are there, don't believe they aren't because you can't see them, that means nothing if you truly believe and know inside they are there.
10. I do not hate anyone, for hate is a word I abhor.
... Quirky again, but I do hate the word hate.
11. It is the true lover who will not hate her rapist, for she knows his soul is surely dirtied more than hers. For she will not hate anyone, but only love, in hope that little seed of light, will plant a bud of hope in someones heart.
... This is how I am. I was hurt in many ways by my ex boyfriend, my sister, this other girl and well... A fair few. I hate none of them. In fact, I want to hold them. They don't have enough love in their hearts, that's why they are the way they are. I do not hate, I want to believe by spreading love I may somehow implant some within them. I nearly did with my ex.
12. If I have saved one persons soul - made one persons heart melt or gave them reason to live, I have done what I was sent here to do.
... I also believe this. Because then, as a good person I have made me feel good by helping someone else and made their lives happy and carefree.
13. The fear of fear itself, is a fear of having nothing to fear.
... We fear a lot of the time, as we feel we have nothing to fear and that scares us. This works with threat and also worry.
