When I come home
ask me no questions
as I've no the strength for lies
just sit by my side
be my strength in the night
catch crystal tears
in the palm of your hand
for my memories still haunt me
demons of sun, blood and sand
If I tell you my stories
from my stay in these lands
will you still love me
with these stains on my hands.
When I come home
ask me no questions
as i've not the strength for lies
grant me some of your grace
take my hand, hold it tight
know i am still the same man
just scared that you'll find all that i have become,
and start to see me in a different light
will you promise to still love me
if I tell you my stories
form my time spent away.
can you promise me forever
once I make it through today.
When I come home
ask me no questions
as I've not the strength for lies
stand tall by my side
be pround of your sweatheart
be my sheild and my light
show the world that you love me
teach these demons to hide
listen to my stories and try not to cry
from my time spent away
in hells very heart
I promise I still love you,
so please stand by my side.

Beautiful poem. The emotion and sadness overwhelms me. If at all possible you could home to me. I would silently listen and wipe your tears with the pedals of a rose.
