I have seen the wisps
of windblown regret sailing across
a forgetful shore,

so in return I shield my face
from the rest, and the painful
past I can't ignore.

    this is an incredible poem. the imagery is fantastic and vivid. I love absolutely love the first stanza, but I do love the entire poem.
