If I were a rose,
Blooming in the sun,
I'd get restless on the ground,
I'd pull my roots and run.
If I were a rose,
I'd be blushing a bright pink,
I'd be quiet; easy going,
But more in thought then you think.
If I were a rose,
I'd do what roses do,
I'd keep my petals closed up tight,
I'd bloom only for you.
If I were a rose,
I guess I'd be the same,
But as we're talking about flowers,
Lily is my name.
