An outcast in the world
I set out to find greater hope
To wish for more
And find my belonging
An outcast in the world
I found myself not what I wanted
But rather what they said
Big, loud and full of hate
An outcast in the world
I could not belong
Swatting me
And chasing me with nets
An outcast in the world
I was an outcast here too
No one cared to see me
Or to share my magic
An outcast in the new world
I was hunted
Called a rare breed
Running was all I could do
An outcast in the world
I tried to hide
But my wing grew tired
And I looked for cover in a simple nest
An outcast in the world
Totally worn out
I wanted rest
So there I lay
An outcast in the world
They hunted me down
Tired, I gave up the fight
My faint heart barley beat
An outcast in the world
They took me apart
And laid me to rest
On that dissection board

The repetition of the word "outcast" isn't really necessary
I enjoyed the way you showed the downfall though, and subsequent end on a chopping board
Thank you for entering my contest and good luck
