Minds racing, asking questions, thoughts never still.
The complexity and wonder of the human brain, drinking in
all of our experiences, moulding our lives and shaping our paths,
developing the souls of our very existence.
Such are the mysteries of the mind.
Self doubt, menacing dreams, hopes and joys.
Happy memories, sad memories, regrets and fear.
Intuition, tempers flaring. Sometimes feelings you didn't know existed,
All leading down the path of creating 'you'.
Such are the mysteries of the mind.
Positive thoughts changing the winds.
Making life altering decisions. Being aware. Stilling thoughts,
focusing on breath. Meditation.
Finding inner peace.
Such are the mysteries of the mind.

I think you captured the mind beautifully. All of those thoughts always rush around in my brain, sometimes all at once- nice to see someone organize and aknowledge them in a poem. Great write!

Thank you so much, Liz. I'm really new at this and thanks to my daughter it's a wonderful way to express yourself. A form of our own art, no right way or wrong way, really. I hope I can read something you write. This is so much fun.

Welcome to Allpoetry
Hi Mum
So glad you posted a poem, finally! This is awesome; it really does speak true to the human condition
Just a tip: Capping the beginning of every line isn't necessary. Only use capitals to start the beginning of a new sentence or thought
