Angelic Voice

she sings her songs to me
only I can hear her voice
soft and gentle
she sings me to sleep
her angelic voice
sooths my troubled mind
bringing me peace
visions of happiness
dance in my dreams
I have nothing to ever fear
she's always with me
deep in my heart and soul

Remember singing m y grandchildren to sleep many years ago. Have a new granddaughter now and do that too when I see her and look after her. This brings back lovely memories; easy to read and understand.

    A mothers love is evident
    Through every single line
To hope each is really meant
    Remain the thoughts of mine
No daughter is real but a son
And of love he has no doubt
The truth of your words exists
And you must always let them out

always a pleasure to receive a comment from you...always appreciated your kind words and thoughts...
also love your poetry...i'll have to take another look...i haven't commented on your poems in a long while...
i don't have a daughter, but i have a son...i don't always sing him to sleep, but at least he loves to hear me sing and he loves music and thats all that matters to me...he is my blessing...he makes me deal with things and helps me deal with things...he's my reason for being! i guess thats what children are, our reason (or reasons if theres more than one) for getting up in the morning and trudging through the day...
thanks for the comment and i'm glad you loved it!
