How impossible is the love
given so unconditionally when not deserved?
You love me always no matter what I do,
You are always there, and here
by my side.
He lifts my chin
from the ground
and holds my hand
to lead me through
the hard times.
Who can love like this?
He holds me above the
drowning waters
and puts me on His
shoulders when I can
no longer walk on my own.
He attatches our lives
to His heart so full of love
and saves us from ourselves
even when we turn our backs.
This is an impossible love
for any made of flesh.
only possible in a divine romance

inspired by the song "by your side" by Tenth Avenue North
Anybody who knows me knows that I love God, and that I've had a tough past to deal with. This song really speaks to me. The song talks about God calling out to us asking us just to love Him. He is always by our side no matter what. He holds our hands and leads us through tough times, and even carries us on His shoulders when we cannot. He never will break our hearts, so He's asking us why we are looking for love when we have right here, with Him. I hope everyone listens to the song. This is such a beautiful picture of the love of God. So well written and I do adore this piece. Kind of reminds me of Footprints. Have you ever read that one? If not, look it up, the author is anonymous but the piece is one that ... when I first read it, brought such a wave of emotion. But anyways, back to this one, I love the feelings you put across in this one. Excellent write.
