listen as its tongue flickers
shaping words you don't understand
Feed the hungry, flaming lips
feel the warm embrace
surround you completely
Nurture it with carefulness
in fear of a chill
and starvation
...always remember the tiny
spark that started it all...

I still don't know if this is literal or not.
It could go either way - i leave it open to interpretation.

Haha, no pun intended...yeah right! It's a good pun!

I, just like anyone else I'm sure, get extremely tempted to relate this to love after the second stanza. Good relation, too - love can be very much like a fire...it can be quick to spark and die, but lasts a long time if you tend to it; it creates warmth and comfort from the cold outside, and if it's a real [or I guess, for analogy's sake, a 'roaring'] fire, it brings much light to the dark.
Anyway, great write. T'was a pleasantly 'warming' read. ^_^

I took the words from a love word bank but twisted them so it wasn't extremely dirty and horrifying

I can be very punny sometimes.. lol
but that one was an accident

Good thing to do - there's plenty of dirty stuff out there already; it's nice to see one that isn't.
Accidents can be good. ^_^ -
