Let the rain wash away
all imperfections
and the masks
we so surely hide behind.
In these moments
I can see your soul
and you mine,
I'd have it no other way.
Everyone lies
and everybody hides
pieces of themselves
that may be misunderstood
So I'll cherish these moments
now and forever
for the chance to see another
truly, is rare.
But once the rain clears
the masks will resume
for they always do.
I'll wait right here
for our next rain.
Whenever that may be...
all imperfections
and the masks
we so surely hide behind.
In these moments
I can see your soul
and you mine,
I'd have it no other way.
Everyone lies
and everybody hides
pieces of themselves
that may be misunderstood
So I'll cherish these moments
now and forever
for the chance to see another
truly, is rare.
But once the rain clears
the masks will resume
for they always do.
I'll wait right here
for our next rain.
Whenever that may be...

Very well written
I like the honesty of this piece and the way the masks get washed away at times. The meaning and imagery is fantastic and I like what this says about you - you value the person without all the walls and barriers because you like people who are themselves. Open and beautiful. Well done. -
love the structure, especially love this part "Everyone lies
and everybody hides
pieces of themselves
that may be misunderstood"
so well said i understand what you mean good luck
