When She Left, We Fell Apart

Walking through the empty park
Snow drifting across the sidewalk
Palm turned up to feel the flakes brush by
Shoes slowly sliding through the piles of white
A cool breeze pulling strands of hair through vision
Swing chains quietly creaking in the distance
Thoughts subconsciously arriving and leaving
Skies of white and gray falling down
She fades in the ever clear evening
Stars disappearing in her direction
Stone cold fingers searching for her presence
Tears streaming, longing to fill the silence
That has assembled since then
The sobs have been extinguished
We glisten in the back of her memory
She radiates in our dreams

Author notes

I really have no idea what this is. I was listening to soft music. So much for turning sadistic again!

    Verr nice

I can definately feel the hole left by the absence of this person, and i especially enjoyed the bit about the swing chains. There's something about abandonned playground equipment that really tears at the soul, something that makes everything seem so much more desolate. I had you on my favorites list when I first cam eon 3 years ago and now I remember why.
