In breaths of pure silk
And whispers of gold
With a gentle caress
The smoothness of milk
And the scent of no less
Than His sweetest cologne
Just a moment unfolded
In charm all her own
For thus was she made
To quietly fade
As she blossoms and gives
To the life of the tree
Till her bloom is no more
Than a heart where there lives
The promise of a score
More lovely than she

I like the personified approach in a poetic description bringing the depth of the prompt..love it..and must admit ..you are talentted poet..well done..

I loved how you captured the purpose of the flower, and how it will one day wither and fade away, but how it makes a tree look magnificient and beautiful, makes me think of the cherry trees in bloom. Blessings.

lovely job on this, Jocelyn...it read smoothly...felt like I was unwinding a spool of ribbon that kept getting prettier as I was getting closer to the end~
