Samantha

Samantha,
the girl sitting in the corner,
that no one knows is there,
is crying inside.

No make-up is messed,
or tissues used,
but the tears are there.

The little unknown book
is lying on her lap,
her dark glasses drooping
on her nose,
but no one
even knows she exists.

Passing by,
laughing people,
who go on with their lives,
not even caring,
not even noticing
the life shriveling
before their very eyes.

Samantha.

Thank You for Your Entry ~

The second stanza is powerfully done, I love the imagery of it because I can relate to it so well myself

Incredible poem, Samantha is strong yet so fragile all at the same time - beautiful
