In a moment's walk, your peace is soon found
Peaceful Winter in silence speaks
Complex abstraction your mind shall seek
As the cold bites at nose and cheek
The path is long and the road is sleek
As free and blissful as the Northern Lights
You feel you could fly when the moment's right
Taking the happenings of this silent night
Open your wings and take flight
Glide you now across the starry sky
Enjoy it as time flows slowly by
The spirit within lets out a yearnful cry
A single moment in time you cannot deny
Bring your thoughts back towards the ground
Return you now to earths silent sound
Your thoughts are now no longer bound

You capture the spirit of winter with flawless phrase and rhyme. The imagery within is clear to see and the pictures only enhance the reader's experience. Absolutely wonderful. A delight for the senses one that I could read again and again.

I tend to be one who believes that poetry is though-out.
Here is one that seems sensed rather than read. It seems empathic to the imagery it represents. These qualities reflect a maturing artist.
I'm also intrigued how the monorhymes within each stanza didn't feel overworked. I feel that may be because of the syllables in each composed line. Another possible bit of evidence of the sympathetic use of the language.
This was a very satisfying write.
