I don't believe in god but what I do believe in is this.

i believe in Polaroids, bare feet,
a summer fling. A dandelion wish
and a strawberry wine kiss. I believe
in tan lines, aviators, and sundresses,
beachy hair and music too loud.

I believe in winter wind cheeks, snow
flake lovers, and romantic novels.
A pretty lit candles, scarves, and hot
chocolate. I believe in whipped cream
smiles, chapped lips, and winter wonderlands.

I believe in movies that make me cry,
books that make me think, and stories that make
me naive. In best friends, soul mates, and
bitches. I believe in anxiety, imagination,
peace, I have to believe in peace.

I believe in putting on a pretty dress,
posing for the camera and painting on glitter.
Mirror shots, girls night in, and chick flicks,
nervous butterflies. I believe in singing out
loud and having ambitions.

I believe in dancing in the rain, t-shirts and jeans,
and evolution, ice cream sundaes, comfort food,
and a mothers love. I believe in summer showers,
polka dot bikinis, and casual fridays. I believe in
change.
