A life.

I have you.
And you have me.
I think thats enough for us.
We dont really need more to have in our hands.
Than each others hand to squeeze.

And yet we're in a rush.
To grow up, to get out.
To live on the edge of life in our own little apartment.

With its own little kitchen,
and little windows and little doors.
It will be ours.
And that should be enough for us.

And yet we are in a rush.
To leave, to travel.
To buy a camper and go everywhere.

To climb the tallest mountain to see if we faint.
And hold up the Tower of Pisa.
And that should be enough for us.

Yet we are in a rush.
To get married, to have babies.

A baby boy and a baby girl.
To watch them grow and thrive
Into the happiest kids in the world.
And that should be enough for us.

Yet we are in a rush to retire.
And have a little Bed and Breakfast the we run.

To wake up early to make a meal for people we don't know.
And sing to the rising sun.
And maybe thats still is not enough for us.

But for me,
I don't need any of this.
I have you.
And you have me.

And I don't need anything more
than your hand in my hand to squeeze.

Please tell me what you think

This is amazing...this is breathtaking. I don't know why, but I simply adore this poem. It's so simple but so full of life. It gives me a picture of life where I want to have part in. Sometimes simple words can describe much more...I'm definitely bookmarking this one
