Time Eternal

I waited for you.


Every breath I drew
was in expectation.
My mind was shackled
by your image.

You became a memory
locked deep inside.
Your touch forgotten
in the cobwebs of time.


Yet I waited still.


The trees turned brown
and their leaves fell,
…………..like tears,
mourning you, as I did.

Seasons changed
and you did not return.
My hope ebbs as the tide
bereft of a shore.


Still, though, I wait.

    This is a superb piece, such longing expressed so well. Love the imagery your words paint, so touching and vivid. I would wish you luck but you shouldn't need it with this beauty! Fab background to hun!

    Speechless!

    this is so touching that I was weeeping with watery droplets by the end of your poem. I felt the deep emotion churned in my mind, swirl in my heart. This is such an elequant emotional masterful Oscar artisty piece of stunning poetry. This is definetly a piece to keep amongst my favourites.
