Pandora's Box (Blank Verse)

Pandora was the first woman on the earth,
Her other name Anesidora, ''she who sends up gifts'',
Each God gave her a unique gifts to create her,
Zeus ordered Hephaestus to mould her out of Earth,
Or Γαîα -Gaia as they used to say,
As part of the punishment of mankind,
For Prometheus' theft of the secret of fire,
All the Gods joinned in offering this ''Beautiful Evil'', seductive gifts,
Pandora opened a jar (pithos),
Modern described as ''Pandora's Box'',
She opened it up and released all the evil of mankind,
But luckily closed it leaving ''Hope'' inside,
But opened the jar out of simple curiosity and not as a malicious act,
So started, the evil of mankind.

Author notes

Pandora's name meant:
''giver of all, all-endowed'',
Good luck authors in the contest!
