Her fresh blood life giving..
He cuts her down she is still living on the edge of death
Raven black hair awash with blood
No skin remains now like the predator he is
One last stroke of her pallid cheek

Well, definitly nasty in tone. I gues that the idea of being the monster instead of the victim fighting for his/her life is more appealing these days. We raise the monster up to the level of being far more interesting and important than people.
But that doesn't take from the shock and awe of this piece... it definitly hits hard! -
