Her search

I search for light beyond the mist.
Beyond all knives,all chains,and whips.
I search for light from every hill.
My gentle patience standing still.
I search for light through the sun and the stars.
and though they shine i still run far.
Feeling nothing,i run...

I seek the fire that keeps all warm.
through the cold,cold paths,
and the frightening storms.
i seek the fire in the blackening night.
but as I wake no flame in sight.
I seek the fire past all fear.
yet not one flicker do I find near.
Feeling nothing I keep running...

I search for light asI journey far.
My heart grows cold like an empty jar.
i search for light in every direction.
calling for hope,but feeling rejection.
I search for light beyond all things,
but the farther I search
the more pain it brings.
still feeling nothing,I run...

I seek the fire through the shadows that trail.
In the night they consume me and tell me I'll fail.
I seek the fire step after step.
still empty handed i have no regrets.
I seek the fire,my soul ice-turned.
still hopeing I'll find it some place I will journ.
still feeling nothing ,I keep running...

I search for light below and up high.
in the bright sunny days,
and the starry night skies.
I search for light clear skies or hard rain.
The farther I go,my mind fades away.
I search for light early day or late night.
but sunny or darkI still find no light.
Feeling nothing,I run,and run,and run...

I'm running, and running,I can't stop running,
the darkness is trying to chase me.
I'm searching,I'm seeking, I'm trying to find,
the light andthe fire to embrace me.
Fire,light,nowhere I go.
The whole world is spinning,
but it all seems so slow.

I'm lost,I'm alone,It's the end of my days.
nowhere left to go,nothing left to say...

"This is is,I'm done,it's all over."
The darkness surounds me pulling me in.
I'm fighting and fighting but I just can't win.

"why" I asked,"why can't I find it?
I looked every where but I just can't find it.
Ive traveled as far as the eye can see.
I looked in the day and the night,
past the hills past the trees.
high and low,
nowhere left to go.
nothing left here but me"...

"me?".....
I looked up at the sky.
"it was inside me all along.
all i had to do was ask you lord."
tears rolled down my eyes.
but as they fell to the ground,
the darkness left and
I felt the sun shining on me.

The light shined on me like a newborn day,
the fire inside me was alive here to stay.
I walked my way home
smileing joy to the lord.
and forever in my heart I will now keep these words....

That only with the lord will I find that light.
And only with the lord will I feel that fire.
