you must have crystals hidden in your skin
sugar crystals, i feel them sweeten
the you-taste at the back of my tongue
each limb of yours like stretching boughs,
we are nature,
and the city breathes jealousy
through its teeth
we are not-
quite-
whole,
apart.
we are shimmers and maybes,
floating amongst skin coloured sheets
so, alighting,
we blend in.
