Bow Deeply

Missing image
Trees gaze down on insignificance.
Flesh instead of sturdy roots.
Arms instead of mighty branches.

The tree remembers the axe.

And bows deeply to the destroyer.

Amazing... am initially speechless. Such a powerful piece with so much depth... i understood it a little more each time I read it... i love poems that do that to you. Strong message, powerful words -- wonderful entry; thank you

  • Oh wow, this is certainly thought provoking. You penned brilliance in these words. A very sad write from the point of view you took.
    Best wishes with this.

Oooh, I like this.. I'd not thought to put my poem in the context of seeing it from the tree's point of view.. Excellently done!
