With Dreams In My Heart

Missing image

A grandma, you would think I would perhaps think old,

But no, that is where some might have us wrong!

Some women have a little girl inside even as we ripen

                                 with age.

A dreamer, always believing for better days, surprises

                         like a present given unexpectedly!

There is always something new to learn, to discover,

                         someone new to meet!

Not perfect by any means, has challenges with health

but tries to do with the strength

                          she has at her disposal.

She has the dimension of faith that has us expectant

                          that prayers are always heard.

Knowing there is a God who hears every word!

Our realm of living rotates around this special

                     person......who is the centre

                       of  my universe!

Wife, mother, grandma, with some talents I love to use

                    who loves to show emotions

                      including laughter!

To live to  love,  make a difference, and hopefully

                         be a blessing,

                         That's me!

    Amen

You sound like such a beautiful soul, I am a grandmother myself since the age of 40, I don't feel or look old, needless to say it flowed, well penned and I felt a little bit of me there too. Blessings, new favorite.

    That is beautiful!

Love this one, and what a sweet person you put forward. (I would applaud but I don't add that until after the competition closes).

    We Don't Dress Old, Either!

This is great, SisRose, and it reflects my thinking to the T! And, as I noted above, we don't dress old, either! I mean, I suppose I must not, since my daughter wants all my clothes.

Wonderful poem, well laid out and says it like it is!

    Luv & hugs, SisBon

  • this poem is really good. good luck in the contest

    Poet

words of life and wisdom that the young can never really understand until they walk the same path. A must read for many who just do not appreciate the glory of living.
