Pervasive

I am the bottle of liquor in your hand,
and the pills that, in it, you swallow
Recoil from me, I implore you
But still you will be consumed
because I can't help it
and neither can you

Pervasive, my poison will travel
through to the ends of your hair
and your fingertips
I will have laid claim
to every square inch of you
Your own signature on the contract

Visualize this, if you will
for it is inevitable
if you but sample me
Inevitable, your drained, wasted body
Sprawled on the floor of the mansion
that I took a wrecking ball to

Recoil from me, refrain from me
while you still have the strength
So you can continue with your life
and I don't have to, reluctantly, horrified
feel the grin flash across my face
Please, just walk away
