Oh Casey! Oh Casey!!
my blond bomb pooch
seven years old
and a 15th of a tonne,
you’re a bundle of joy and love
for all who live with you.
Oh Casey! Oh Casey!!
You guard us in times,
with patriotic prides,our home
but train yourself with vigour
like a solider before a war
of great importance
with long mile filling walks.
Oh Casey ! Oh Casey!!
You may crush
the circulation to our feet
when soundly we sleep,
but you’re a dog to which
we could never trade away,
because you have a way
of making us
fall in love
with you, a little more,
every other day.
Oh Casey! Oh Casey!
What would we do
without you?
my blond bomb pooch
seven years old
and a 15th of a tonne,
you’re a bundle of joy and love
for all who live with you.
Oh Casey! Oh Casey!!
You guard us in times,
with patriotic prides,our home
but train yourself with vigour
like a solider before a war
of great importance
with long mile filling walks.
Oh Casey ! Oh Casey!!
You may crush
the circulation to our feet
when soundly we sleep,
but you’re a dog to which
we could never trade away,
because you have a way
of making us
fall in love
with you, a little more,
every other day.
Oh Casey! Oh Casey!
What would we do
without you?
Author notes
this is a poem about my blonde labrador retriever.
Here is a link to a picture that I took of my dog about three years ago: http://www.esnips.com/doc/9b123cdb-83b0-4f59-a652-bce6b1c0b1ff/2005-12-30-1526-01_edited
Any Suggestion?
