I'm not bad,
I just don't remember
How to smile, anymore
I'm not lost,
I'm just not looking
Cause there's nothing to look for
When they attack,
I don't fight;
When they throw stones,
I don't run;
When they break me,
I don't bend;
Because
They see me
As I am
I'm not hurt,
I'm just crying
Cause there's something in my eye
I'm not crazy,
I've just forgotten
What it means to be alive
I just don't remember
How to smile, anymore
I'm not lost,
I'm just not looking
Cause there's nothing to look for
When they attack,
I don't fight;
When they throw stones,
I don't run;
When they break me,
I don't bend;
Because
They see me
As I am
I'm not hurt,
I'm just crying
Cause there's something in my eye
I'm not crazy,
I've just forgotten
What it means to be alive
Author notes
Wrote this in my notebook last night. I'm still trying to find a way to be thought provolking while being vague about what it is I want one (you) to think about. Pulling on emotions isn't easy, so I highly respect anything that can make me want to cry (like the ending of Code Geass. That was amazing... ).
P.S.: I'm in the mood for R&R. Send some poems my way via Messages. Thanks~!
