This is my first real song I wrote it was a true story about a night up at our campground
Come grather all around me and Ill sing to you a tale
About the boys at forevergreen who almost went to jail
It happened on a friday night, they went to get some corn
And all they had for a warning sign was gerry tuppers horn
Hanky he got angry and said he wouldnt go
He stayed to boil the water and get the fire aglow
Mike and joe went with them to try an give a hand
They said well borrow a little from this farmers land
Now if you pay attention I know ill make u laugh
Kevin went to jump the ditch and landed on his ass
He got back to his feet and started in to run
Dripping wet from head to toe he said this aint no fun
Then they left the corn feild to head for higher ground
When joyce found the trail she followed them outta town
When they got to the campground everyone was there
Calvin had the butter and lydia had the chair
Scott and laura they showed up salt and pepper in hand
Troy and heather they showed up paper plates and a plan
Now the corn is boiling everyone feeling fine
Jeremy on the ole guitar haveing a grand ole time
Now the corn is gone its time to shut er down
Cause Quite time is here and trish is commin round
