Death Is So Unfair

She reached out for my hand
I Love You She Said
Although i didn't know it
In a few Minutes she'd be dead

Her Tears stained her cheeks
Her skin so lifeless and pale
With whispers she embraced me
Her Voice husky and frail

Her hand still grasping mine
so cold, but i couldn't let go
tears streaming down my cheeks
Death You Have Stooped So Low.

Taking an angel from me
Guiding her into Your lair
Why did you take my Angel
Why is Death so unfair?

This is heartwrenching! I know these feelings only too well. I can relate to this all too well. And you captured it quite well... Rings true for all that have loved and lost someone dear to them. Great job!

Best of luck in this contest!
