Stars- Still Life -- Picture

I want a little star for the new year.

One that will give Life to the new year.

Where one can go for good cheer.

Where the lights  will take away your fear.

The star that will glow so bright.

Sending beauty into the night.

With millions of tiny sparkles

Keeping it a going both day and nigh.

Something to give one hope for tomorrow.

A glimmer the will lighten their sorrow.

A shine that will make their heart glow.

Thinking of the one we know so well.

Seeing this will make many think of

That special star from long ago.

How He can make our heart glow.

Only He first made thing just so.

The rhyme seems irregular, but maybe that's just a form that I'm not used to
I like the idea of this poem, of wishing for a star for the new year and the reasons. It makes me think.
    Thanks for entering!
