whom we wholly love,
who've been hand crafted
by our god above.
This is our message,
our response to you.
Agreed upon by all
in this collective few.
Our opening statement
isn't too insightful,
'cos it shines through so clear:
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL
With smiling eyes
that silently speak
of your shining souls
both humble and meek.
The gentle spirits
that love through our abuse.
of tongues, hearts and eyes,
that we've let loose.
Your forgiving hearts,
glowing with grace.
Even when hurt
they still give chase.
We, Love, You,
our Christ bound sisters.
Sincerely we want
to be your protectors.
We, Love, You.
For what you are.
For who you are.
For why you are.
And we'll repeat it!
Though it may sound woeful:
WE LOVE YOU
and think you're BEAUTIFUL.
Author notes
This poem was the brainchild of all of the boys on camp ths year. In one of the devo's at the end of the day, the guys were brainstorming on ways we could edify the girls. David payne, our head counsellor suggested that instead of just handing them a list of things, each guy could get up on talent night and say out loud something that they thought was awesome about the girls. The guys agreed this would be an awesome idea and immediately started to think of things they could say. They brainstormed for three hours after the devo till they had to crash at no earlier than 1 am. The next day there ideas were put into poem form and read out as a group, each guy saying a line of the poem on the talent night that night..
Please tell me what you think

Quite the fun poem...I haven't read one in ages, so I feel. Forgive me but I do not know exactly what a devo is...
Regardless, a nice dedication to the opposite gender. I don't recall ever hearing about such a massive collaboration of the minds to come up with such a piece.
