I awoke today to a brilliant sky
although the snow was falling.
When I feel no dismay and I'm free from a lie
I hear the center calling.
With truth I find my place and I take a new chance
and I see that my heart is yearning.
With youth I find such grace and I start a new dance
and I see that my mind is learning.
There's more to this life than the things that I have lost
thus I find the strength to be outgoing.
With grief and with strife, with an unfortunate cost
I sometimes know that blood will be flowing.
With a love so divine and a conscience so pure
I observe what is waiting for me.
Like a sun I will shine, I stand up to endure
life's big race but I'm running with glee.
With a heart calling out and a posture so steady
I awake driven with such desire.
I know what I'm about and I know that I'm ready
with matches to light my first fire.
The flame rises high and I see where it's going
so long looking for a solution.
My soul starts to fly and confidence is showing
I embrace my new revolution.

In life, the tide begins to change. At this point, one could allow the tide to continuously hit them, or float above the oceans waves. Life is a gift; if only people would stop depriving themselves, they could appreciate it.
