In Memoriam-My Dad

To some you may be forgotten, to others a part of the past. To me who lost and loved you, your memory will last.  May you always walk in sunshine, God's love around you glow. The happiness that you have given us none will ever know. It broke my heart to lose you, but you did not go alone, for a part of me went with you, the day God called you home.  Your memories are a keepsake, with that I'll never part. God has you in his keeping, but we have you in our heart.

Author notes

This is not my poem. It is a memoriam that my grandmother put in the paper when my father died in 1985. I don't know who the original author is but I thank him or her none the less. I would also like to thank a certain poet on this site for putting part of this up tonight and reminding me of this. Much thanks and gratitude!!!!!!!!
