Bird of Paradise

I stand, in elegant splendor
of graceful form, and wondrous hues;
I sway, in mirthful grandeur
like heaven's birds, and ocean waves.

I chase, bountiful freedom
to do my heart's wish, follow its beats;
I charm, with luscious petals,
an explosion of color, a breath of freshness.

I feel, the magical blend
of mythical past, with mesmeric future;
I  am, the sensual embrace
of true love and faith, to my soul mate...

Author notes

    Somehow, I sense you've researched my passions and likes, and the mytholoy and mirthful grandeur, which you relate to. Somehow, reading this has got me out of some serious brainblock. Nice words.

    Lovely and a wonderful personification of the flower -- you've described it so well, one doesn't even need a picture! I was also glad to read your AN -- didn't know about the symbolism. Excellent read!
