As I lay down to sleep

As I lay down to sleep
I pray my soul for you to keep
As soon as the darkness takes hold
I hope my spirit you mold

Slowly slowly it comes forth
To dance and move about my body
And as it slowly takes my sight
My lower lip I bite

As I lay down to sleep
I pray my soul for you to keep
As soon as the fear goes away
I'll know you've protect me from pain

Slowly slowly the fear sets in
And I feel something grim
The boogie man has come to play
Oh lord please bring me day

This is a beautiful poem Miza, only thing for me though when reading the first stanza...just seems a tad off on the flow... keep up the great work and best wishes to you in this contest.

    Love it

Borrowing words from one of my favourite prayers and making it something dark. Well done!
