Soaring With Thy Word
©copyright 2009 Bonita M Quesinberry
O, God, if I were as a bird,
I would be soaring with Thy Word,
flitting from person to person
teaching them Thine lovely lessons.
Then, I would soar to heaven's gate,
where Thine Son is my only mate;
and, there I would sit at Christ's feet
to rejoice o'er Satan's defeat.
O, God, please give me golden wings
and a voice for Thy Words to sing,
that each and ev'ry heart draws near
to be released of all their fears.
Then, they would soar to heaven's gate,
where Thine Son is their only mate;
and, there we would sit at Christ's feet
to rejoice o'er Satan's defeat.

Enjoyed this, I really liked how the 4th stanza mirrored the 2nd stanza.

I loved this
poem - words and structure, but also the contents that is prayerfully 'spread' as a blessing. Wonderfully portrayed. I enjoyed the final stanza's richness. Blessings to you. Frans

Blessed Sonnet!
What a peaceful vision written with a wonderful flow, content & rhyme! Dream like & pleasant as is the pix that accompanies this piece. When we are with Him & have spirit bodies as He we will not be siting at His feet however but occupied in brilliant works for Eternity with Him!
Beautifully done.

There's my Annette, rummaging around in my poem box!
Thank you so much, sweetheart, for the encouraging reviews of "Soaring With Thy Word" and "A Daughter's Perspective." Most of all, I am so happy that these offered you some encouragement. I hope all is well and, if not, know that "this too shall pass," so be on the lookout for the blessings shower that always follow Satan's reign of pain.
Much love and hugs, SisBon

Ah, thank you, sweet Alice for the encouraging words. But. . . publishable?

I love birds to begin with, and this was awesome to mate with the Holy Ghost dove and yourself, to be one with Him and soaring, and believe me I would like to rejoice ofver satan's defeat at this moment. Blessings...it was incredible.

Thank you, sweet Denise, for the encouragment and, like you, I rejoice in this moment; for Satan is well and truly defeated: he's just not smart enough to have figured that out eons ago.

Luv & hugs, SisBon
