This Is True

This Is True

When death betakes the ones who gave us you
be it predecessors current, great or grand
do not resist or wait till you too go
into that void of little which we know
to converge with that loved one once again

Behold, if you don't understand
the loved one lost is right now right at hand
look inside yourself and greet your mom or dad
for they each clearly are a half of you
and they're willing still to hold your hand
throughout your time and always do for you
everything in your best interest that they can

You may ask of them the way to walk your paths
they alone will guide you to a choice
at every trial, at every fork you come to meet
and rugged though your course may prove to be
with their force and counsel staunched inside of you
every obstacle you face along with them you'll meet

For every thing you are is them inside you
rely on their wisdom when each vibes you what to do
and never think that you are left alone
because inside you each has found their warmest home
as you too will when have come and gone
So smile for them and know you need not mourn

Be happy - they still live  - you are them
and they are you right up to your beings brim
Every conflict with them is now made amends
Rejoice and frolic with your new found friends
For you too soon will join their hallowed ranks
and bask with your begats upon life's endless banks

    Amazed me...

WOW!!! This poem really touched my heart. I told my Mom before she passed if you can no longer fight it's ok to go to yhe light. She is at peace now no longer in pain or filled with worry. That is a beautiful and gracious thing you did for Melissa's family. I read an edited version of a poem I wrote for my Mom called My Beautiful Brave Mother... Which is on my AP page.

Awesome. He does still Live! Within each and every one of them. Very nicely penned indeed... I am positive that they will love it.
