one night

one night she sat
head bent looking up at the stars
each a bright tiny light
a child from the mother moon

one night she sat
head bent looking up at the stars
hoping for the white little specks
to show her the way home

one night she wept
head bent looking up at the stars
wishing the small glitter clusters
would take her back to feeling loved

one night she bled
head bent looking up at the stars
speaking to the glint of dimonds
here i come sister, i wont be long

that night she died
head bent looking up at the stars
the bright beautyful lights
of torment and destruction
