My list will change at times from day to day
You see it’s very hard for me to say
Before I kick the bucket I have to choose
Unreal things I’ll pick I have naught to lose
Camping is one of the things I’d like to do,
Kind of like to learn to swim like you
Even a go at bungy jumping sounds good
To jump off a cliff, I really think I should
Let my fears not stop the thrill it gives
I would like my younger days to relive..
Specially would like to climb our bridge
The views you see from the top are ridgy didge.
Cross the Nullabor that would be beaut
A ride I’d like to take in the back of a Ute
Now that I reckon would really be a dream
But the bumps I bet will surely make me scream..
Ever ridden on top of a Camel that stinks?
Climb off his back when to the ground he sinks
Oh gosh you really haven’t lived yet!
My next item on list I won’t regret
Enter a haunted house at the midnight hour
Look around for spirits that have the power
O boy and watch them as they fly about
No list I make would be complete without
Good friends to sit with me and laugh and shout..

You are SO brave Jo Jo
I guess I need to make a bucket list too. Camping sounds divine. Having those lovely large cups of hot drinks with you that y'all had in New Zealand that you sent me a picture of. Thirty days at a five star spa club med resort to get into tip top shape. This was fun. Thank you!!!

I loved the bucket list movie. I even shed a few drops from the eyes, but I am very sensitive. Loved your acrostic and have done a few of those things already. I'm still not sure what would be on my bucket list. Maybe one day I will make one.

Wow...This is such an amazing write. Friends are important and those are some cool things you mentioned and letting go of fear is a fun thing...

-
I enjoyed the whimsical seriousness of this even though there were regional words and phrases I am not familiar with. Best of luck in Contest #40.

I wish to jump of a cliff too, but with deltas or parachutes

Seems that there are so many things we w ant to do and we keep on delaying. I'm sure you'll stay around for many years to come and I hope you do all you have in mind. If ever decide to try a delta flight, please invite me to go along

Dear A J, NO, you certainly are not going to kick the bucket for a long time! Ha ha I can just see you and Bob on the Camel, you'll have to show me the photo next time we meet.
I'd like to climb the Sydney Harbour bridge though, that would be a corker. A great poem dear A J

Gee Angelica, your list looks like mine with many of the same things on it...though I do know how to swim and we camp all the time but bungi jumping is on my list but I have heard from more then one person how smelly the camels are but would love to ride one any way...Good luck in the contest...

Dear Darlene, it wasn't intentional to be like yours sweety, I can't even remember what you chose, but will have a look. The Camels are great to ride but a bit scary when it's time to get off, it feels like I'm gonna fall off, Bob and I were on together so that made it easier.

Oh, I didn't mean my bucket list but my personal life list...the one I have in my journal...riding a camel would be a great experoience even if only once..

No probs Darlene, we were a lot younger when we rode on the Camel, don't know if I could do it now.

Good you do that and we'll go for a burn. I still have pics of our ride on the Camel as well. What a ride that was, it was so high up on his back, worse part was getting off, but it was great!

Dear Bea,
I’m sorry that I’ve stayed away.
My brain has been unsound.
I think my Muse has gone to ground
and left me nought to say.
But Edna’s slightly better now
and so my mind and brain
are starting to come right again
and I can think somehow.
Now I have just turned 77,
there's things I'd like to do
and a lot of them with YOU
before I go to Heaven.
Just a few things I've got on my list:
I'd like to see Siam again
and walk the Serengeti Plain,
and by a NUN be kissed.
I'd like to fly a helicopter
or fly a fast jet plane,
I'd like to go to sea again,
find a mermaid and adopt her.
I'd like to ride an adult whale,
or a camel by the pyramids
or an elephant on rubber skids
though I did it once and hurt my tail.
There's lots of things I'd like to do
before I finally shoot through.
Your list looks great. Best of luck in the voting.
Heaps of love, hugs and XXXs and applause.
Hugh (R.)

Dear AJ, I like the choices you've chosen on your Bucket list, but I can't see you doing any of them LOL.
Oh well, you can dream of yesteryear and what you got up to then, I know you were a bit of a dare devil.
Good luck in the voting.

You have quite a list, Joan. I wouldn't mind doing some of those things myself. I've had the camel ride when I was in Egypt back in 1996... something I said I'd never do but finally got talked into it by a friendly young Egyptian, but only if he'd ride with me. I actually enjoyed it. It was at the pyramids in Giza and we rode a ways across the desert and then into town. And funny thing... the camel bit him
( I didn't notice the camel stinking, though)
There are a lot of things I'd like to do and I've been trying to come up with an entry for the contest. You've given me some inspiration
And I love the verbiage in your poem. Good luck in the contest
Dee

Bob and I had a ride on a Camel back in the 70's it's a long way up isn't it? And the scary part is when the camel is coming down to let us off, but it was very exciting.

That is a horrible graphic! lol Mean to the bone! lol
I think the only one I'd like to do is the last one...sit and talk with friends. But after 20 minutes of listing to me talk, they'd surely kick the bucket!
Thanks Angelica!

I changed the pic Yem, just for you.

I don't remember the other graphic, but I know I was just kidding. But this one is definitely in my way of liking. Classical theme. Thanks!

A kid holding a bucket, talking to his gran "Go on, kick it Granny, Dad said he'll buy me a bike if you do"
-
-
Oh my, that is right! That was horrible! But I was kidding, you know me, I liked weird stuff.
How is Hugh?

Thanks Yem, I can change it, but it made me laugh. I'll see what else I can find.

The last is the best - though I would give a try at getting to the top of the bridge to see the view! Where would we be without friends to appreciate what we all have seen and done? I like this list. Best wishes, Joan!

Thanks Sweetpea, my Brother has been on top of our Harbour bridge, says it's awesome, he's just turned 75 Yes, friends are very important, to sit and laugh with them is great.

Joan, this is a delight!
Ever-present on your list,
already in action every day,
your off-beat sense of humor.
Lovin' the clever rhymes--
beaut, ute!!!!!!

Yep Aussie words, maybe when I was younger I would ride in the back of a Ute, but these days I'd get picked up by the cops for not wearing a seat belt and for being in the back of a Ute in the first place. Plus I'd come out crippled up!My Grandson has a Ute, perhaps I should go for a burn with him, but in the cabin, not the back!

Thanks M-C
