About to jump out of my skin
Bad depression had set in
Cataracts clouding my eyes
Parkinson's on the rise
Began to think of goodbye
Of the land up in the sky
Then this Group I belong to
Said we want to honor you
People with Disabilities
Changed my sensibilities
Turned me from sad to glad
With a thing I've never had
Made me Member of the Month
Of this wonderful great bunch
What made this change so real
Is the love here that I feel
Thank You Wonderful People!

Blaze thinks it's a real insult that they are called cataracts. Why not dogaracts? He says he's sure Tiki will agree, but the problem with starting the movement to amend it to such in this rhyme is that it would disrupt the purrrfect low of this poem, which they worked hard to make Ellis get into dictation. It's a lovely tribute, with the exception of that word CATarats. (LOL!)

It IS a real insult, Blaze,
Seeing through his fuzzy haze.
But that's what Ellis has me for
He gets mad; I close the door...

Outstanding
There are some good groups on ap that really care about people. Glad they put a smile on your face. This is a wonderful tribute poem with your usual immaculate rhyme and flow.

disable people for me are heroes, when see them and how they live and deal with their problems that makes my problems really small.. they are a sign of courage and a reminders to the society that how blessed we are but what are we doing with our blessing,, a luxury to us might be a necessity to others
there are to be honoured.
it was nice of you to appreciated them for that.. i've known many who don't appreciate disable

It's a beautiful award and a very meaningful one. It's always a pleasure when we can realize how much we're appreciated.
