And pulled covers
over my head
where sadness hovers
Crying in sleep
Missing loved ones
Brought to knees
Tearing meniscus
Do you miss us
Yes I do
No place to go
To fix torn meniscus
Fix torn Meniscus?
Reader queries
Coming up blank
What meaning carries
Reader leaves stumped
To Google meniscus
Tiptoeing by
Thinking what's the fuss
I ran into dreams
To find mom and dad
and found blessings
lost I cannot readd
Good grief looks
Of its been years
Dry up those
Funeral tears
Crying in sleep
Missing loved ones
Brought to knees
Tearing meniscus
Do you miss us
Yes I do
No place to go
To fix torn meniscus
Pain hasn't any
Bedside manner
When creeping into
Daily planner
Praying up to to
Great Physician
To be on THE DOCTORS
My petition
Carrying my petition
I saw you on net bus
With me and our friends here
Yelling, PLEASE DON'T LEAVE US
I'd rather be looking
For a better way
Than not turn around
When heading wrong way
Reaching out in hugging words
Pleading you change plans and stay
Holding onto our prayer chain
Till you find a better way

Looking for a better way
(Poetic True Stories of A Cyber Safety Net)
http://www.thedoctorstv.com/
*THE DOCTORS is a TV series begun by Dr. Phil's son, Jay McGraw
Dr. Phil Show producers asked people to write in my behalf and several did saying I helped them choose life but that was two months ago and still no word back so I hope and pray they reconsider and choose me. It was sort of my last hope. However, maybe why they ask if uninsured and insured on applications for help from THE DOCTORS is because they turn away uninsured, too. That's humbling yet I hope that's not the case yet IS my case otherwise either not being seen or dumped since uninsured.
I have volunteered 6 years posting suicide prevention and other help information on the Dr. Phil Website. AllPoetry is equally a cyber safety net for emotional baggage to take a load off unpacking into powerful posts and poetry. Sometimes to stand up we all need a hug and ONLINE those hugs often come in hugging words from fellow poets and members on websites we belong to.
I slipped on hay and tripped over a pumpkin display at a store and tore the meniscus in each of my knees so my emotional baggage lately is I'm uninsured and was just charged over $200 to be dumped by a physician since uninsured. I have to pay cash to go to appointments and if that doesn't deter an uninsured person coming then person is referred. There I sat in a knee specialist's office with a grade 4 meniscus tear in left knee and grade 3 in right telling me my lower spine was causing pain.
Oh well... LOLz listen to me as sounds like I'm passing out invitations to my own personal pity party and already over. Actually, the stress of it all got to me then I saw someone posting a suicide poem and helping someone else helped me as well.
It means a lot to me that so many wrote in in my behalf for an Extreme Makeover on THE DOCTORS saying I'd helped them choose life including woman that said Dr. Phil saved her life on 1001st Dr. Phil show had said on her tape that I'd helped her too, she said. (Second day of Dr. Phil's 1000th show.) That part cut from tape because after all IS the Dr. Phil Show. I don't mean that sarcastically; I mean that realistically.
So even though my volunteer efforts over 6 years haven't been recognized by Dr. Phil Show et al yet... have been by even woman on 1001st Dr. Phil Show for which I'm as equally honored as Dr. Phil was. (Second day of Dr. Phil's 1000th show.) Anyway, I don't help to be recognized and do since I care. So the plus even though I didn't hear back after so many wrote in in my behalf is I have all their letters writing in my behalf to the Dr. Phil Show to always treasure.
Poem is since I sure wish my parents and/or grandparents were alive so I could go visit to get my meniscus in each knee repaired in my home town. It is scary to see how in an instant I no longer can go on my walks and walking was my stress buster. Knees hurt standing, sitting and lying down and I cannot afford to pay another doctor $200 who has no intention of seeing me and every intention of dumping me since I'm uninsured. Where's a Good Samaritan when you are in pain and everyone passes by? Often online reading the words of people who need to unload some baggage and take a load off with their words like teardrops.
P.S. Since writing this everyone wrote in to THE DOCTORS too in my behalf for an Ultimate Makeover.
THANK YOU!!!
Please tell me what you think
