phoenix

Missing image
buried under debris
that crumbled like pack of cards,
resting on human greed
robbed many of our joys.

setting man against man
self righteous,
others looked down upon.
man made world of economics
boasting and boosting,
promising sparks burning out
in mid air, albeit lack of fuel,
bringing down alluring dreams on earth.

affairs of human world different
we created our own,
even God carved out
from our imagination
travelling in eddies,
we seek redemption outside,
that too wholly made by us.

wind swept
we travel along,
when they are dumped,
we are dazzled,
but do not raise as Phoenix
caught by another swirling wind.

Different. I did expect to read something that had to do on the rebirthing of new life, but I wasn't sure exactly how to expect it. The idea of the Phoenix is a great way to express it. Well done.
