Daddies Aren't Supposed To Die

Daddies aren't supposed to die.
This gravestone has to be a lie.
But, I can't find him anywhere,
empty is his easy chair.
Daddy's smile is sorely missed.
Don't remember last he kissed
his "little girl" whom he did love.
Is he in paradise above?
Daddies aren't supposed to die.
My heart is shattered as I cry.

    Wow.

This is a wonderful write. My heart would literally break if my dad died. I love the emotion in this piece. The denial in this write makes it that much stronger and more heart breaking.

    "Don't remember last he kissed
his "little girl" whom he did love.

    Daddies aren't supposed to die.
My heart is shattered as I cry."

    Very powerful words.
    Amazing job.

This is beautiful.....and so true....Daddies aren't supposed to die..."but I can't find him anywhere, empty is his easy chair.." you can just feel the little girl looking all over for her dad! It's like that for the big girls too....
