Undertakers know
that soil never remains undisturbed,
as it shifts and rots away
like ideals
and hatred;
Only to be unearthed,
reborn in flesh;
Twisted from the faces of worms
and molded into lampshades,
concealing intent.
Historians realize that tenses
don’t stay separated;
Like conjoined twins,
past and present fused
with all their deformities,
glaring and ambivalent.
Scholars accept that intelligence
is subjugated by the mindless.
An unapologetic whore
of rhetoric and greed
and a most willing slave
to propaganda;
Savants who craft such beauty
will be recorded by humanity
as nothing but worthless idiots.
While Dictators are religiously bred,
on the same straw beds
as Martyrs and Saviors;
Their victories and defeats
staining the fabric of life.
Until time washes away all evidence,
leaving only graying uncertainty
drying in the winds of time.
Life and Death, Good and Evil
four winds that persist
and eternally prevail...

Life and Death persist:
inevitable truths.
Good and Evil mutate without cease:
Perhaps our finest inventions.
A well crafted poem which held my attention.

Scholars acceptthat intelligence
Did you mean to run the words "accept" and "that" together?
Some very deep thoughts to swim in here. Thank you for entering. -
