Earlier in the night she was writing oh the computer. When she left the room for a cigarette I looked at the screen.

I don't know if what I read on the computer screen was specifally intended for me, or a broad gesture of good will towards all, but later when she wispered I thought of it. When her words flowed into my ears, danced through my veins, and made love to my cells, I knew exactly what she meant. The planets were aligned for me and I was immortal for that second.

It was then I finally found the gold between black and white. Humanity is disgusting. Our evolutionary history has made us self serving, and our social constructs have only worsened the matter. Humanity is, however, something special. We have the ability to transcend our nature. An ability to become something more then what we are programed to be. Though rare, humanity can be a beautiful display.

She leaned over and whispered into my ear. I could feel her lips move against my ears and feel the hot words form and travel to my ear drums. The heat vibrating off and sending a wave of calming euphoria over me, interweaving itself into my molecular structure and allowing me to overcome myself.
