Day by day, hour by hour, minute by minute,
you keep drifting farther away from me
going into your la la land to avoid suffering,
you seem to forget what we used to be.
I realize you have been through a lot,
it just seems like I'm losing you forever;
you asked me to go to la la land with you,
but I can't, I'm sorry but I would never.
I look table where a single rose silently lies.
You have had a lot of "thorns" in your time,
but every painful thorn has a beautiful rose.
Your rose is budding, but your thorn is at it's prime.
Please come out of la la land, that's all I ask,
come smell the roses, even if you get pricked,
because there are no roses in la la land,
they are fake, you've just been tricked.

i know the title is one said once. i actually think a better title would have been "There are no roses in la la land"
i know the poem is pretty bad, but just started typing and this is what came out. =/

Na, I actually like it. :} It kinda reminds me of me and the people who love/loved me. lol I'm scared of heaven cause I'm scared it wont be real and will really be hell underneath, just waiting for me to accidentally stumble upon the horrible truth. ^^' Don't be so hard on yourself, it's really a great poem, if to no one else, to me at least. :} I should really learn to take my own advice to though. ^^'
