Valda My Love

Missing image

Come to me most lovely one
who's heart beats swift and fierce
do you know this heart of mine
your daggers surely pierce
with fiery intensity
which smothers all desire
intensity none could resist
inflame me at your pyre

Enrapture me with beauty
as before I never knew
for all these passions that prevail
are driven on by you
My love there is no energy
such as that you bestow
and if there were pretenders
I should know -
they could not meet this  furious strength
this storm within I feel
this tempest torrent you alone bestow

Author notes

His knights heart is possessed with the beauty of the Barbarian woman of the North and he writes her many poems of love.
